Help lift up working families out of poverty
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is one of the largest anti-poverty programs in the country, but many don’t claim it because they simply aren’t aware. Ask your State Representative to support The EITC Notification Act which will require companies to notify their employees about the EITC.

Save our early childhood programs
Last year, the Michigan Legislature proposed drastic cuts that would severely decrease the amount and quality of early learning programs in our state. Let’s not let that happen again this year!

Make sure no child goes hungry
There are approximately 700,000 individuals in Southeast Michigan who don’t know where their next meal will come from, and many are children. School-based nutrition programs go a long way to provide nutritious meals to kids, yet many can’t access these meals. Two bills were recently introduced in Congress that would ensure that fewer children go hungry. Advocate for the end of childhood hunger by urging your legislators to support these important bills.
