Emerging Philanthropists

Young leaders who are committed to changing lives through philanthropic leadership and building a network of like-minded leaders across Greater Detroit.

What is an Emerging Philanthropist?

In an effort to connect fresh leaders to our community engagement efforts, United Way created the Emerging Philanthropists as a junior group to United Way's Alexis de Tocqueville Society. EP members give their time, their money and their talents.

Members have the opportunity to network with their peers, are invited to special VIP events and have one-on-one mentorship opportunities with Alexis de Tocqueville Society members — some of the most influential leaders in our region.

EPs also lend us their insights and have a chance to get a more intimate look at our work. Click here to download the Emerging Philanthropists brochure.

What is the commitment?

EP members pledge a 6-year, financial step-up commitment, starting with a first-time donation of $500.
