United Way for Southeastern Michigan

I am choosing to spend my spring break rebuilding Detroit because I want to recreate the image of Detroit, as well as give back to the community. Detroit has received a negative image for awhile now, and I think it is important that we get out there and recreate this image, and prove the negative attention wrong. Also, I am very excited to help out somewhere so close to home, because locally is in my opinion where you must start. Detroit is near and dear to my heart. It is time to see and continue to build a sense of community in Detroit.
