United Way for Southeastern Michigan

So today was the first day working at Franklin Wright. I was lucky enough to work at this site last year and I didn't think I'd be able to work there again this year. We weren't completely sure what we would be doing once we got there, but it was super surprising. Basically, they have 2 rooms - one that they want to turn into a library and one that will be a computer lab. The guys who are giving us instructions gave us total control of what to do. We get to design the rooms, paint it any color, etc. It's awesome. So we talked to some of the kids who go to FWS and got their input. We might not be able to get them the huge flat screen tvs and X-box 360's that they want, but we can definitely use "crispy" red paint like they want!! Overall, it was a great day and it just reinforced every single reason why I came here. I love it... I can't wait to go back tomorrow and I am looking forward to getting everything done!!! We can do it! GO TEAM 5: WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS!!!
