We all know what if feels like to be in need of a helping hand. The thankfulness when we receive it and disappointment when we don't. Someone is trying to turn their life around but he needs our help.
Markus has taken big steps to getting his life back together, but has one major need that would really catapult him into success. He has recently gone through drug treatment and is now clean. He is living at a ministry house and serving his church. He begun taking GED classes and was looking hard for work.
Through his own motivation and a little help with transportation from the United Way, he was able to land a job at Metro Airport. He has been working there for several months now and is a well-respected employee with opportunities to be promoted, but is restricted because of his transportation barrier.
It takes him 3 hours to get to and from work every day on the bus. Because of this, he was forced to choose between GED school and sleep and decided he needed to put his GED on hold so he could get some sleep for work. In order for him to be promoted, his schedule needs to be more flexible, which right now is impossible with the bus system. He has been trying very hard to save money to buy a car but it's slow going (he recently had to get a tooth pulled which cost him $400 because he doesn't have insurance).
We can make a HUGE impact on this man's life. Markus is motivated and working hard to better his situation. He is eligible to purchase a donated car from Charity Motors for $1000.00. He has $200 and is need of the rest.
I am asking you all to give $10, the price of a couple of pizzas, to help transform this man's life. I am not in the habit of asking people for things but I can no longer just wish good things for people in need I must take action. Please help Markus with what ever you can afford to give.
