Focus: Hope — Assist Seniors Shop
Since 1968, Focus: Hope (1300 Oakman Blvd., Detroit) has grown to become a nationally renowned civil and human rights organization diligently working to bridge the racial and economic divide in southeast Michigan through numerous programs:
- Food & Basic Needs
- Workforce Development & Education
- HOPE Village Initiative
Volunteers that participate will have the opportunity to mingle with seniors who pick up their boxes and will help replenish the food boxes on the floor by sorting and packing additional boxes in the warehouse.
Volunteer shifts occur Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers must commit to a minimum two-hour shift. Volunteers must complete an application and liability release to participate. This opportunity is available to individuals, and groups of up to 20 volunteers.
